This is an outstanding option for space restricted antenna use. I was going to put it in my attic but it is outside now in an inverted V configuration. I am in Texas and am getting QSO’s from the EU, Africa and of course all over North as well as a few from South America. I was surprised it doesn’t even have a connection for a counterpoise wire, but then if it uses the COAX sheath for that it’s Ok. I have a 1:1 UNUN on the shack end. SWR is down to 1.0:1 through my MFJ-949D tuner driven by my IC-7300 at full power both on SSB and digital modes. Nice product.

I bought the 66-foot version. I have it in a slope configuration: the dogbone end is on top of my chimney (about 23-25 feet high), and the transformer end slopes down to about 10 feet high. It works wonderfully well for my FT-100. I have not done any DX yet, but I’m absolutely satisfied with the performance.

I’ve had 5 of these over many years , gave 2 to friends. AN Incredible
antenna , Stealthy, Great performer on 6 or more bands with AUTO
TUNER In Icom 7300….a real space saver… Thank’s Alberto …..

I have the Ultimax 100 66 Ft end fed wire antenna… I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s well made and the auto tuner in my Yaesu FTDX10 tunes it on all bands.

I was skeptical about this antenna. I found out that I had issues with my USB radio to computer cable. Now that I replaced the cable this antenna works better than I could imagine on all bands that the manufacture said! I have the 49 foot model.

I have had my license for 30 years but have never operated HF. After my son got his license a year ago, he talked me into getting an HF setup. I pondered the idea of putting up a vertical but I decided to try this end fed. I have used the 49′ end fed antenna as my primary HF antenna for the last year and love it. I have made contacts on all continents. I use it with a Palstar AT2K tuner and, at worst, get 1.2:1 SWR across all the bands. I have it mounted horizontally between two wooden posts with 100′ of coax. I pulled it down and used it for field day, pulling it up to a tree limb in a slant orientation, using only the tuner on my Yaesu FTDX-10, with 1.3:1 SWR or less and great success. I recently purchased the 53′ DXETREME to replace the 49′ end fed at home. I plan on using the 49′ end fed for portable/POTA operations. I would recommend this antenna to anyone.

I have 2 of these antennas, 24 foot and 49 ft models. The 24 ft on I run on FT-8 with only 10 watts. Worked into Europe, Africa, South America and Asia with an LDG tuner

I was initially hesitant about the 24′ wire antenna, especially given my HOA restrictions.
However, after a couple of months, I decided to go for it. I’m glad I did—it simply works!
The FT-710 internal tuner handles nearly every band, and I only need an external tuner for 80 meters. Overall, the 24′ Ultimax 100 has exceeded my expectations and comes 100% recommended.

I have the 24 ft version attached to a 26 ft. fiberglass pole that sits on my wooden porch out my kitchen in a condo. I am on the 2nd floor. I can leave it up or take it down during severe weather etc. I am super happy with the results. Using a Yaesu 710, I have made contacts in WA, CA, MT, NV, Cuba, Mexico, Santiago Chile, IL, IN, GA, TN. All from NW Indiana near CHICAGO. All without counter poise. After a lot of research, it has been my first antenna and I’m lucky I started out with this. Oddly, the antenna is on the east side of the building and just barely clears the top which is the 3rd floor, but most of my contacts have been to the west and south. Hoo Rah for skip.

Merveilleux !!!

Since moving into an HOA I’ve tried several different antenna installations, mostly verticals with little success. That kept me off HF for a while until I found the Ultimax 100, 24′ version. To me, it was an impressive antenna for it’s size and allowed me to work many countries and enjoy HF again! It’s not like my 130′ OCF used in the past, but I’m really enjoying the bands again. Due to its size, mounting is very discrete and so easy I now own two….one north and one south.

Highly recommend it!!! Quality built! I purchased that Ultimax 100 EFHW 66′ version back in late 2024. Thus far, the transformer can handle the South Texas heat and the Gulf Coast humidity without any problems. Hanging it 25 ft above the ground in my backyard (disguising it from the HOA). I can work most of the US, Canada, the Caribbean, and sometimes Brazil and Argentina on SSB. My furthest QSO on FT8 is a little bit over 10,000 miles away (Indonesia). W5TRI, 73.

I have the 49ft and it works as advertised, tunes 10-80 with radio built in tuner, I have the 124 DXTREME on my base but use this model for camping and it works great 10-80, I have a lot of “specialty” antennas from various manufacturers with wild claims that rarely deliver… ULTIMAX100-49ft is working great for me! Used mostly with Yaesu FTX Optima and 100 watts, but would easily accommodate an amplifier.
