I purchased this antenna about 5 years ago, and it’s been up every since. It’s built to last, and I’ve never had a problem with either the function or construction of this EFHW. Very pleased with it, Ultimax has a customer for life in me.

I live in a apartment on the 1st floor.
    I’m using a Kenwood TS-480HX radio 200 watts.
On August 1st 2025 I saw a landscaping company trimming trees in my apartment complex.
I asked this guy climbing the trees how much he would charge me to hang my Ultimax wire antenna in the tree. He said 20 bucks. I said let’s do this !
He climbed the pine tree and asked me what branch I wanted it on..he put it up about 40ft.
    Then the magic began..!
I was hearing dx and stateside stations I hadn’t heard before.
    I felt like a new ham !
    This antenna is amazing !
Just as it states , the swr’s are near low to flat.
So far, no one notices the antenna.
The next day a terrible thunderstorm came through my area…I’m happy to say my antenna is still hanging in there.
Thanks Ultimax for a great product.

Have used this antenna for 5 years without any issues. I primarily do ft8, ft4 and have worked all continents without any difficulty. Very durable. Has survived hurricanes and a blizzard as well as ice storms. Mine starts at 10 feet height off a garage and goes about 40 feet up into a tree and works great. Virtually invisible. The easiest way I have found when putting it up was a casting fishing pole and then hoisting a non conductive heavy line and the antenna up. Then I secured the hoisting line to the ground with a concrete block. This makes it easy to lower antenna down for inspection and re hoisting it up. Well worth the money
